1. Who is responsible for your data

SplitMatePro is operated by Tavdo, a sole proprietorship owned by Tbili Ossama and based at Reem Island, Rabat Street, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this policy, “SplitMatePro,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to this operator.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: email address, authentication identifiers, and profile information such as name or avatar.
• Shared-expense information: groups, group members, expenses, settlements, notes, recurring expenses, and reminders you create.
• Optional uploads: receipt images and profile images you choose to upload.
• Usage and technical information: device, browser, operating system, app-session, diagnostic, and analytics information.
• Support information: information you send when you contact us or request account deletion.

3. How we use information

• To create and secure accounts, provide the service, and calculate shared balances.
• To enable groups, invites, settlements, reminders, exports, and receipt attachments.
• To understand product use, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.
• To comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.
• When paid plans become available, to administer purchases and access entitlements.

4. Service providers and sharing

We do not sell personal information. We use service providers that process data for us to operate SplitMatePro, including:

• Supabase: authentication, database, and secure file storage for account and app data.
• Google Firebase Analytics: usage analytics and app measurement.
• Paddle: payment processing and buyer support only when paid plans are available and you make a purchase.

Group-related information is visible to authorized members of the relevant group. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect users, our service, or the public.

5. Cookies, local storage, and analytics

SplitMatePro uses essential browser storage to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. We also use analytics technologies to understand how the website and app are used. You can manage cookies and local storage through your browser or device settings; disabling essential storage may affect sign-in and core features.

6. International transfers and security

Our providers may process data in countries other than the one where you live. We use access controls, authentication, encrypted connections, and protected storage designed to reduce the risk of unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Retention

We keep account and app data while your account remains active and for a limited period afterward when needed for backups, security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed for these purposes.

8. Your choices and rights

9. Children

SplitMatePro is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
